If you are just joining the blog - please read the last post about what level of use is considered professional.

Now on to the next couple of tips on caring for your swimsuit.

3) Always rinse your suit in cold water. Make sure you take time to rinse it very well. I always think of when you color your hair – it takes way longer to rinse the extra dye out than you think. Same with chlorine. Do not just rinse it quickly once and lay it out to dry.

4) Hang it from a shower head or over the shower curtain rod to dry. Do not lay it flat or fold it over. This will cause areas of the suit that do not get air, and if the chlorine is not rinsed out completely it will have more of chance to eat at the fibers.

Have you ever had a suit that starts to get stretched out and baggy and you can't figure out why? Chlorine. Have you ever had a suit that starts having white fuzzies on the bottom? Chlorine. The main thing to remember is that chlorine is what eats the fibers of your suit away. If its rinsed out - your suit will last longer.

Come back for the next set of tips. And let's all get ready to Get Back In The Water again!
